Class Description

The circle symbolizes the continuity of life, death, and rebirth, as well as the beginning and end. Painting circles and ensō (Zen circles) is considered highly therapeutic because it acts as a form of active meditation that cultivates mindfulness, reduces stress, and encourages self-acceptance. The process, often rooted in Zen Buddhism, involves drawing a circle in a single, uninhibited brushstroke, allowing the creator to focus on the present moment. We will gather as a small group in my studio space to create our beautiful and soothing circle art with a variety of mediums – watercolor, markers and pens. Plan a solo date or grab a friend! You will leave feeling relaxed! Enjoy an herbal tea while you create or bring your own warm drink :) NO art experience or skills required. All supplies provided for you (unless you have a favorite pack of markers or watercolors you wish to bring along!) FOR WHO: Adult women, no children. FREQUENCY: One-time workshop. DATE/TIME: Monday, April 13 at 7:00pm. DURATION: Approx 1 - 1.5 hrs. Please make payment at time of booking online or choose in-person if you prefer to EMT. Payments may be sent to lyndsayhubley@gmail.com
