I'm an artist, living in

St. Margaret's Bay, Nova Scotia with my husband and our four children. I am passionate about painting, drawing and surface pattern design.

 

I paint in an impressionistic style - using bold and purposeful brush strokes, allowing color and atmosphere to take precedence over detail. I would describe my work to be 'maritime-inspired', with a focus on coastal themes and landscapes.

 

I grew up on Cape Breton Island - having the magic & mystery of the forest and the open ocean all around us - endless inspiration. I am often entranced by the shape of a tree or the color in the sky and am particularly fond of the moss growing on rocks.

 

I've always wanted to be an artist, for as long as I can remember. I love the idea that anything is possible and making art is an expression of this for me that I get to share with you. Welcome and thanks for visiting.​
